The PPO is a preferred provider organization, a little bit more expensive than an HMO, but you do not have to stay within your network it does cost a little more if you go out of it.

A point of service plan is the POS group health plan, you choose your doctor, but can still go outside of the preferred provider if you need to, it just costs you more.

So before you decide on getting quotes, perhaps deciding what type of plan you want would be in the best interest of the group. Then of course, knowing your state laws so you’ll know the coverage your group has.
