The History Of Dialysis Machine
Dialysis has been widely referred to as a cure as a synthetic replacement for a lost kidney function. Kolff first utilized his dialysis equipment in 1943 with 16 kidney failure patients. The first trial run was of little success but it was not till 2 years after when his dialyzer was able to efficiently cure a 67 year old woman with uremic comatoseness after undergoing an 11-hour dialysis cure.
Kolff intended his invention to deal with kidney issues but he never realized that he has created a life saving device for many kidney patients. His dialyzer has become the standard for dialysis machine at least for the next decade. Upon the development of this life saving device came some controversies. Some protested as they think creating a synthetic kidney is detestation. in the year 1960′s, not lots of dialysis equipment have been present throughout those times so not everybody was treated.
The choice was made by a committee composed of local residents and two doctors who weren’t named and have been tasked to decide on patients that abomination might be prioritized.
